Ensure Great Indoor Air Quality by Checking & Changing Your Air Filters Regularly
It is so important to have quality air in your home. It can affect your health and it can take a toll on your monthly heating or cooling bills.
- Clean air filters prevent dust and dirt buildup in the air conditioning and heating system and keep your system running more efficiently.
- Dirty air filters choke air flow and cause the system to work harder to heat or cool your home.
Change Your Dirty Filters
You should check your Air filters every month, and change dirty filters as soon as possible. Energy Star suggests that each filter be changed at least every three months. If your air ducts are dirty, you have shedding pets or an especially busy home; your filters may need to be changed more often. Heating & cooling systems that have to work harder to heat or cool your home are wasting energy and, more importantly, your money.
